Dr. E 127mm Airless TPU Wheels 3D Print Kit [Personal License]
Dr. E 127mm Airless TPU Wheels 3D Print Kit [Personal License]
Dr. E 127mm Airless TPU Wheels 3D Print Kit include 127x70mm hub design files(recommended to print out in ABS or PETG) along with LEFT and RIGHT 127mm TPU Tire design files in STL format along w/ example 3MF files(for Prusa/SuperSlicer).
*NOTE: These are for personal use only such as printing wheels for yourself or family and/or close friends. You will be able to download the design files/updates up to 12months after purchase. e.g. If 127mm V2 is released, you will get an e-mail update w/ download links. If you want to get all of the new wheels, we recommend the ALL ACCESS PASS so you don't have to pay for new wheels.
Features
- World's first 3D printable esk8(Electric Skateboard) TPU tires that will last you many months(or even years) without breaking down.
- By utilizing different infill levels & patterns, the TPU wheels have gyroid patterns that acts as "springs" inside the wheel absorbing much of the vibrations and impact from the road.
- Each TPU wheel contains 230 individual zigzag treads to give you more traction than a typical urethane wheel and give you claw-like traction on the road.
- Eco-friendly hubs, if your tires wear out, simply re-use the hubs and print out new TPU tires.
- Go over street bumps like never before and even go over 1-inch metal spikes without jeopardizing your body.
- Go over grass and dirt roads with ease.
- Go over light snow with ease(still in development).
- 3D printable on any FDM printer with a direct drive such as a Prusa MK3S+/MK4, Sovol S06, Voron 2.4, Ratrig, etc...etc...
- Dr. E ABEC Hubs are 100% compatible w/ Cloudwheel pullies. If you already own Cloudwheels, these are plug-and-play snap-on replacement wheels.
How Does 3D printed TPU Tires get grip?
The TPU Wheels features 230 individual treads that are 4mm tall and "flex" into the ground as you ride, the zigzag patterns on the treads "bite" into the ground giving you snow-tire like grip. As the wheel compresses, the treads bite into each other almost like shark teeth. This is part of what gives these wheels better grip than urethane wheels especially for off-road conditions like dirt, grass, and snow.
How do I Assemble This Wheel?
Instructions, Parts List, 3D Slicing and assembly of the wheels can be found on our forum here.
Comparison Test w/ Cloudwheels:
The 127mm wheels are recommended for electric skateboards w/ 63XX series motors or higher such as 6374, 6384, 6368 or 6568 motors. The size of the wheels are way too big for smaller boards(mini boards) as you may get wheel bite. And also you will lose way too much torque on smaller motors like 5065 motors.
For 50XX series motors and hub motors like Meepo, we will be releasing new wheels soon so check back, thanks!
These wheels are fully-compatible with Cloudwheel ABEC pullies. WE DO NOT SELL PULLIES, we recommend you to buy compatible pullies for your board. If you already own cloudwheels, you can use those pullies.

FAQ
Q: Are these wheels safe to ride on?
A: Yes, but these are BETA products. You are fully-responsible for your 3D printed hubs and wheels. Please exercise CAUTION and ride CAREFULLY. We don't recommend riding faster than 20MPH whether you use our wheels or not.
Q: How long these wheels can last?
A: If printed using 95A TPU material, they will last LONGER than average urethane wheels due to harder material. So long as you don't do burnouts constantly, they will last you many years. Besides that, you can always print out new ones if a wheel fails. We've had ZERO wheels failures on our latest wheels.
Q: Can the wheels fall apart since it's 3D printed?
A: When we began developing these wheels, we didn't use enough infill on the tire sidewalls and they fell apart in less than 10 miles. With our latest design, the tire sidewalls are re-inforced with high number of infill(42%) with honeycomb pattern and have experience ZERO wheel failures after that. It's ALL about the design and how you print these wheels. Also unlike other 3D filaments, TPU materials BONDS much better and they have HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE meaning they are virtually failure proof once 3D printed.
Q: Can the wheels MELT?
A: The wheels can melt if you do burnouts constantly just like a normal rubber air tire. If you use them normally, they will not melt unless the temperatures reach 80 degree C(or 176 degrees F). The TPU material is printed at 240 degrees C(or 464 degrees F). TPU material is very durable in normal earth conditions. However, they can get a bit brittle and may get harder in colder conditions(such as snow or freezing temps). In colder areas, you can print them with less infill to get more flex and grip.
